As the name suggests, the island is dotted with vineyards and you’ll find plenty of wine to drink. Along with this, though, it is surrounded by picturesque beaches, white cliffs, and is home to some very interesting architecture. Massachusetts isn’t often associated with having some of the best beaches in the US, though this state has plenty to offer when it comes to the ocean. With the help of a local boat club, you will be able to explore the coast around this state to your heart’s content, with bad weather being rare, and plenty of places to dock up. Of course, you will need to do some learning if you’re going to drive a boat by yourself. A lot of boat clubs offer teaching services, but this is still worth thinking about before you set off.
